Mercedes-Benz is continuously making an effort to achieve economical fuel consumption as well as lowering the negative effects on the environment caused by driving. With that purpose, their vehicles are installed with advanced technologies enabling exceptional driving capabilities, while being environmental-friendly at the same time.
Smart ForTwo MHD is a vehicle with a micro-hybrid drive that enables more economical driving, especially in urban traffic characterised by constant stopping and starting. The automatic start/stop function automatically stops the vehicle engine, e.g. in front of a red traffic light or in a traffic jam, and starts it again when the driver depresses the clutch pedal. In this manner, the Smart ForTwo MHD substantially lowers fuel consumption and harmful emissions.
